Hello!

I started my interior design business in 2007 with one special client.  It was a lovely working relationship.  And, little did I know, this first experience would set the tone for all future partnerships with clients.

Eager to get started, I remember the two of us hit the ground running, discussing each and every detail with careful thought and consideration.  From fabrics and furniture, to lighting and window treatments, and coordinating with various contractors to help us physically create the design projects we envisioned.  Together, we created an environment that was a custom fit; a functional place to work, a comfortable place to entertain family and friends, a tranquil setting to unwind, a place to just “be.”

Since then, I have been fortunate to collaborate with many clients.  The finished projects are a well rounded collection of unique environments, big and small, and everything in between.  I honestly can say that every designing moment, throughout my career, has been a wonderful tutorial about the importance of relationships, open communication, and getting down to the basics of functional, yet stylish, living spaces.  With each project, I am constantly refining my craft by interpreting my client’s style, providing guidance to my client’s so they may fulfill a design wish list, and using a fresh mix of classic, custom and eclectic furnishings.

Combining a public relations degree from California State University, Chico, with further studies in design and interior architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, I began my career as an interior designer in 1998, working for various firms in San Francisco and Orinda, and Denver, Colorado.
